In order to continue improving their medical service for the Salvadoran community, the Comandos de Salvamento are accepting donations such as medicine, ambulance equipment, minor surgery equipment, climbing gear or financial donations via paypal.  If you would like to donate to our institution please communicate with us via Fax, email or telephone, with a detailed list of what can be donated.  Used equipment is not a problem.  We will utilize whatever you can donate. We are in desperate need of a JAWS OF LIFE, used or new. We currently do manual extractions of car accident victims, etc.

If you are an English speaker, we have international staff that can assist. The following is a list of needed equipment and medicine.

Hemostats-Murphy, o-ring, Mayo, curved, straight, textured and un textured pinchers, suture needles, surgery scissors-mayo, straight, stitch removal, kidney deposits, sterile equipment containers, autoclaves.

SUTURE THREADS

Chrome and Silk

MISCELLANEOUS

Cotton, Gauze, surgical tape, bandages, (lidocaine), Liquid soap, iodine.

Medicine

Antibiotics, Analgesics, antipyretics, anti-inflammatories, anti-allergic, multi vitamins, oral and intervenious hydration fluids, topical creams, (hydrocortisones) cream anti-biotics opthomological medicine, eye drops.

Ambulance

Search and Rescue

AMBULANCE

Gloves, Cervical Collars, Splints, Traction Femur splints (Sager) Backboards (adult, child) Spider web strap board, litters, Extrication Equipment, Jaws of Life (plus training please,) MAST pants, multi use scissors.

First aid equipment such as, suction, artificial breathing equipment, AMBU bags, face masks, oxygen equipment, nasal canulas, oralpharangeals, AED Automated defibrillators, stethoscopes, blood pressure tensionometers.

Mountain Rescue

High angle synthetic and static cords, figure 8s, descenders and ascenders, harnesses, ankles, caribiners, rescue chairs helicopter litters, backpacks, climbing gloves, helmets, and boots.



Since the founding of the Comandos de Salvamento, the institution has obtained international and national contributions.  This solidarity support is very important because the majority of the medical services that the Comandos de Salvamento offer are free.
