Macheteados: Comandos de Salvamento

Earlier this month, CDS Doctor Margarita de Orellana was on a health brigade in the town of Berlin, dept. of Usulutan when they received an EMS call. Apparently, when CDS arrived to the scene, there were two drunk male patients that reported they were friends and had gotten into an alleged altercation and injured eachother. CDS doctors present, Medical Director Rosa Mendez, and various EMTs offered first aid to control bleeding, assure clearance of their airways, and monitored their level consciousness.

CDS Doctor Margarita de Orellana explains:

“The patients were located in Berlin, Usulutan. They both presented inebriated and had fought each other with a Machete. One patient presented with a fractured cranium and multiple wounds on his head and both arms. Dressings were applied and due to the acuity level in the patient, he was transported by CDS ambulance to Santiago de Maria hospital in Usulutan. Of course we transported the other alleged friend, but due to the level of alcohol in the patient he did not want to collaborate knowing he was traveling in the same ambulance of the one who had allegedly previously attacked him… but in the end both arrived at hospital alive”.
